Services
Nail trimming
First step of any foot care. One of the most important elements of foot health. Many of you may think it is simple to do but when done incorrectly it may lead to many problems. If you struggle to reach your feet due to mobility or other issues, or are diabetic I’m here to help.
Cracked heels
Depending on severity treatment may vary. Following an assessment the practitioner will choose the best method to achieve smooth heels.
Verruca
Caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). When present on feet verruca can be managed by using Verrutop. This treatment has to be applied and monitored by a trained practitioner.
Ingrown and involuted nail
Multiple treatment options are available:
- removal of the spike,
- nail fold tamponade,
- UniBrace System.
Patented method for painless
correction of ingrown or involuted
toenails.
Corns and Calluses treatment
There are many types of corns but all of them are painful and uncomfortable. The best and most effective way to treat them is to make an appointment with a Foot Health Practitioner. The same applies to calluses.
Diabetic Foot Care
Patients who suffer with diabetes require a specialised approach and this can be met at Monika’s Foot Health. This is because they can have diminished sensations in their feet, poor circulation and risk of bleeding.
Fungal Infection
Various types of fungal infections can affect nails and skin on the feet. Treatment may require GP intervention and close monitoring. To achieve best result regular appointments with FHP are necessary and individual care plan must be followed.
Athlete’s Foot
This condition is caused by dermatophyte fungus, which can be picked up in communal areas such as swimming pools and gyms, wearing non breathable footwear for long periods. It can be treated with great success but requires dedication from both patient and FHP.

At Monika’s Foot Health we uphold strict Health and Safety and Infection Control Protocols.
A few words about UniBrace System.
As previously mentioned, its patented system which effectively corrects ingrown and involuted nails. It’s a custom-made brace that prevents the need for nail surgery. The brace is crafted from the highest quality surgical steel wire, which minimises the risk of allergic reactions or infections. The brace operates based on three distinct forces: lower force, rotational force, and elastic force. This method is painless, and no anaesthesia is required for attaching it to the nail. Additionally, it serves as a preventive measure against the recurrence of ingrown or involuted nails. The method is safe for pregnant women and diabetic patients.
FAQ
What to expected from the first visit with FHP?
My clients often say they don’t know what to expect from FHP during the appointment. Let’s break it down for you.
The appointment covers several things:
1. – Filling out the paperwork
2. – Checking your feet
3. – Discussing any concerns you have
4. – Providing service
5. – Creating a healthcare plan.
So, as you can see, it’s quite straightforward. It gives me a chance to get to know you and your needs better, and it gives you the opportunity to be heard and get to know me better.
How can you prepare for the appointment?
Wash your feet thoroughly, but don’t soak them. Dry them well. Relax and wait for me!
And please remember, there are no stupid questions. Don’t be ashamed of the state of your feet. I’m here to help!
